Position Project Manager

Northstar Management Company is an Owner’s Representative/Program Management firm specializing in guiding clients through the complex process of planning, design, and construction for their facility needs. Position Overview: Northstar Management Company is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as the Owner’s Representative and manage the planning, design, construction, and occupancy process that results in successful capital construction projects.

Principal Accountabilities and Essential Duties of the Job:
(Includes, but is not limited to)

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects:
    • Understand and administer Northstar’s Project Management Process
    • Assist client in developing the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) and Functional Program
    • Assist with Project Feasibility Studies and Facility Master Planning
    • Assist with assembling the project team, and promotion of project goals, teamwork, and communication
    • Assist with development and monitoring project budget and master schedule
    • Provide value analysis ideas throughout the design and construction process
    • Attend all planning and design meetings and participate in problem solving
    • Participate in all construction administration project meetings
    • Review project design documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Assist with management of contract compliance of project team members
    • Ensure adherence to project drawings and specifications
  •  Actively represent the Owner’s best interests:
    • Understand the client’s business operation and how the project will support those needs
    • Coordinate input from client’s staff and distribution to project team
    • Ensure appropriate project communication between client and project team

  •  Software Expertise:
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Nemetschek Bluebeam
    • Project Management Software, including company-specific systems (e.g., Project Cost Accounting,
    • Project Time Tracking)

Minimum of 5 years construction project management or program management experience, with an emphasis on healthcare related projects.
