Day 5: Community Engagement & Philanthropy
Community outreach is about giving, contributing, and supporting causes that affect the welfare, growth and development of the communities where we build. Clients, potential hires and employees are drawn to philanthropic companies. An organization’s societal involvement affects positive change and investment by bringing members of a community together to enrich lives. The health of our communities has a direct impact on the health of our businesses, so we must do our part and get involved.
Providing employees an opportunity to volunteer has an even greater impact. Initiating a volunteer program can enhance engagement in the workplace, build professional skills and encourage productivity-while supporting the community at the same time.
