There’s something about a Cardinals game that brings St. Louis together — and last night, SLC3’s Emerging Leaders had the opportunity to experience it together from the Cardinals Nation Rooftop.
On Tuesday, September 15, SLC3 members gathered for Night at the Ballpark, an evening designed to give our Emerging Leaders community a chance to step away from the office and jobsite, connect with one another and enjoy one of St. Louis’ favorite traditions.
With views overlooking Busch Stadium, food and drinks, and Cardinals baseball as the backdrop, the evening created an easy setting for members to catch up with familiar faces and make new connections across the region’s AEC community.
Building Relationships Beyond the Workday
Professional relationships aren’t built only in meetings, classrooms or on project teams.
Sometimes, the best connections happen over a conversation, a shared meal — or a baseball game.
That’s an important part of the purpose behind SLC3’s Emerging Leaders programming. By bringing together professionals from different companies and disciplines throughout the construction industry, these events give emerging professionals opportunities to expand their networks and build relationships with peers they may work alongside for years to come.
Night at the Ballpark gave our Emerging Leaders exactly that opportunity, but in a relaxed environment where the focus was simply on connecting and enjoying the evening together.
Strengthening St. Louis’ AEC Community
SLC3 brings together owners, contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers and other industry partners with the belief that a stronger construction industry starts with stronger connections.
Creating those connections among emerging professionals is especially important.
As today’s Emerging Leaders continue to grow in their careers and take on greater leadership roles within their organizations, the relationships they build now can help create a more connected and collaborative St. Louis AEC community in the future.
